25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Jennifer Velasco conducted a case management inspection today to clear the Plans of Correction deficiencies cited on 3/7/23. LPAs toured the facility, reviewed facility documents, and observed Licensee, Jennifer Pettit (L1) providing care to five preschool aged children.
L1 was cited for Type A CCR 102416.5(b)(3)
(b) For a Small Family Child Care Home, the maximum number of children for whom care may be provided at any one time, including children under age 10 who reside at the licensee's home, shall be one of the following: (3) More than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, only if the criteria in Section 1597.44 of the Health and Safety Code are met.
As of today, 3/17/23, LPAs observed five preschool aged children in care, L1 was operating within ratio and capacity requirements. L1 reconfigured her daycare schedule with technical assistance from LPAs.
L1 was cited for Type B CCR 102425(j)(2)(D)(c)
Documentation shall be maintained in the infant’s file and be available to the Department for review. Documentation shall include the following: Time of each 15-minute check.
As of today, 3/17/23, LPAs observed a sleep log for the three infants and provided technical assistance assuring that these documents are maintained moving forward.
No deficiencies were cited in today's inspection, exit interview was conducted, and Notice of Site visit was provided and shall be posted where visible to parents for 30 days. |
