25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway, met with Facility Representative, Xochitl Orozco Colina, for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA and LPM toured the facility, including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play areas. Census included 18 preschool children being supervised by 4 classroom staff. Facility representative was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11 AM and 11:45AM to 2:45 PM.
Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During inspection, LPA and LPM observed the classrooms, furniture and equipment are in good condition and free of hazards, chemicals were kept inaccessible to children. Per facility representative, the facility provides breakfast.LPA and LPM observed a posted menu, and food stored at safe temperatures. Bathrooms and all sinks and toilets were sanitary and in operating condition. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises and the facility has at least one functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector. There is First Aid equipment available. LPA and LPM observed that parents are signing their children in and out of the center. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected and in good condition with enough resilient material under climbing structures to cushion fall. Children bring their own water bottles from home.
