25 | On Tuesday, May 9, 2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Amanda Sutter and Eduardo Barragan met Director Giselle Delayne-Wallace for the purpose of an unannounced required annual inspection. Upon arrival LPAs observed 5 children supervised by 2 staff. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPAs toured classroom space, restrooms, kitchen, and outdoor play area. LPAs observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Parents' Rights form, Personal Rights form, menu, and seat belt law. LPAs observed a functional carbon monoxide detector. Cleaning disinfectants, medications and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Program is documenting the napping infants every 15 minutes. LPAs observed changing tables in arms reach of a sink. Director stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Facility provides an AM and PM snack as well as breakfast and lunch. Children who are present after 5 PM also receive an additional snack. LPAs observed infant food labeled in the refrigerator.
LPAs observed trash bins with tight fitted lids. LPAs observed the facility’s electronic sign in and out system. Facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every six months; last fire drill was conducted on April 23, 2023. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts and rubber is present under the equipment to provide sufficient cushioning. There are sufficient equipment and toys, and shaded areas are supplied by trees. Director stated that children are provided cups which are refilled using water jugs.
