25 | On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Seychelle De Luca met with Director Giselle Delaney-Wallace for the purpose of an unannounced required annual inspection. LPA did not observe any school age children at the facility. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. HOURS
LPA toured classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play area. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Parents' Rights Poster, Child Personal Rights, Seat Belt Law, Menu, Daily Schedule, and Emergency Disaster Plan. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector and full 3A40BC fire extinguisher. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Director stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. The facility provides an afternoon snack.
LPA did not observe a trash can in the classroom. The facility uses electronic sign in and out system. Facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every six months. The last fire drill was conducted on April 3, 2024. In the outdoor playh area, LPA did not observe sufficient equipment and toys. Shaded areas are supplied by a shade cloth. Director stated that children use drinking fountains outside for drinking water.
Two children's records were reviewed. Children’s files were observed to be complete. There is at least one staff member present with a current CPR certificate.
