25 | On 3/6/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter met with Licensee Representative Michelle Lucas for the purpose of an unannounced case management visit. Upon arrival, LPA observed 5 school-agers supervised by 2 staff members. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
LPA measured all school age classrooms and outdoor play areas and advised that a new application page (LIC200A), facility sketch (LIC999), and $25 fee should be submitted to Child Care licensing in order to update the facility's capacity.
A health and safety inspection were conducted in all areas accessible to children. LPA measured three preschool rooms. The total classroom space contains a total of 672.0435 square feet, which accommodates a maximum of 19 school age children. There are 3 operational toilets and 3 sinks for the children. With current sinks and toilets available, the maximum number of preschool children that can be accommodated is 45. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
There is one outdoor play area for school agers. The total outdoor activity area contains a total of 1258.206 square feet. The square footage measured accommodates 16 children. LPA advised the Licensee Representative to submit a request for an insufficient space waiver with a rotating schedule of a maximum of 16 school age children at any given time. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. In the areas observed, no deficiencies were cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Representative Michelle Lucas.
