25 | Licensing Program Analyst Erwina Pascual-Golamco (LPA) met with Licensee, Nune Melikyan, for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection. Licensee has requested to increase from a small family childcare to a large family childcare. Fire clearance STD850 was granted on 08/28/24 by SMFD. STD850 states: Nap area is approved for Bedroom 4 (last room in hallway) to the right of laundry room. Bedroom 1, 2, and 3 in hallway shall not be used for daycare.
All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Childcare Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA verified with Licensee that her associations are current. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. LPA observed that the annual facility fees are current.
A health and safety inspection were conducted in the areas accessible to children. The backyard is fenced and the backyard is ready for daycare use. Off-limit areas include: Bedroom 1, 2, and 3 in hallway, laundry room, garage, and left side of yard. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas.
