25 | On 9/13/22 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fabiola Diaz met with licensee Charlotte Findlay for an unannounced annual/1 year inspection. During the inspection there were 8 children present, 2 of which were infants. Licensee's husband and adult son were present. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
The home is a two story home with a fenced front yard, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, day care area, garages, laundry room, and a backyard with a pool. The off-limit areas are: entire second floor, garage, laundry room, and sheds. LPA observed fire place to be screened and the stairs to be barricaded. LPA observed the pool to be completely surrounded by an iron fence that is at least 5 ft high, with a self-closing and self-latching gate.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in the areas accessible to children. The house has a working telephone, fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector that meet Title 22 regulations. Licensee stated there is no firearms on premises. LPA observed all the required postings. LPA advised the licensee that if there are any poisons at the home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock.
LPA observed licensee's immunization records at facility file. LPA printed out a list of documents required to keep at the home for adult assistants and adults residing in the home. LPA observed a children's roster and a fire drill log. Licensee's CPR/First aid card had an expiration date of 7/17/24. Mandated Reporter Training for licensee was observed with an expiration date of 9/5/24. Licensee understands these trainings must be completed every two years. LPA observed complete day care children's files. LPA observed some forms to be outdated, so LPA provided licensee with an updated LIC311D.
