25 | On June 27, 2022 at approximately 8:52 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Seychelle De Luca met with Director Nooriya Mamoor for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA observed care and supervision of 23 children with one director and four staff. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA toured three classrooms with children present, one empty classroom, children’s restrooms, staff restroom, kitchen, office, and outdoor play area. Per Director, there are currently no children requiring medication. Director stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. Director stated that the playground substrate would soon be replenished. Restrooms are in sanitary condition with functioning toilets. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility.
LPA observed that solid waste containers were covered. Per Director, the facility provides meals for the children. Menus were posted and drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. LPAs observed a manual sign in and out sheet with parent’s full signatures.
At approximately 10:00 AM, all present staff files were reviewed. Staff transcripts were reviewed, and all teachers present were fully qualified. LPA observed staff had current Mandated Reporter certificates and proof of immunizations. LPA observed that no current CPR/First Aid certificates were available for present staff.
LPA observed the sample of children’s files contained the appropriate documents. Director stated that fire drills are conducted monthly. LPM advised Director to maintain an updated fire drill log. LPA observed complete children’s roster on file. The facility is equipped with First Aid equipment.
