25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with Director, Toni Granico, for an annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present, there are four children with one teacher and the director. Facility is operating with in the capacity and in compliance with staff child ratio on this day. Facility operate day care from Monday to Friday between 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
During inspection, LPA inspected the classroom and the play yard. During inspection, LPA observed the facility has license, emergency disaster plan and other required documents posted and are visible for public.
Facility has multiple smoke detectors, fully charged fire extinguishers and pull alarms. There is working telephone at the site. All of the cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. All of unused electrical outlets have child protection covers installed. Facility has age appropriate furniture. Furniture is steady and in good repair. Facility has sufficient amount of cribs and sleeping matts. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. All toilets, hand washing facilities are in working condition with proper sanitation in place. Facility has refrigerator for store the milk or formulas for the children. There is bottle warmer available and is out of children's reach. All of the play structures in play yard are steady, in good repair and free of any loose parts. There is sufficient amount or rubber material under the play structures to prevent any fall injuries.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed that facility has sign in / out record. Facility has license, emergency disaster plan and other required documents posted and are visible for public. LPA reviewed all present children's and staff's files. LPA observed facility has record of names, addresses and telephone numbers of each child's authorized representative. Multiple staff members has record of valid CPR card in file.
