32 | LPA also observed staff supervising children closely during the inspections through different daily activities. According to majority of the parent interviews, they communicate daily about the child’s day. One of the parents stated, “She made sure to send photos…and video and through the phone.” This parent also stated, “They do have close supervision and always there with the children. When they are playing or doing circle time at pick up, both are always there.” LPA also witnessed Licensee conveying information about children’s day to parents at pick up. Most parents show no concern about supervision resulting in injuries at the facility.
In addition to a staff interview, they change the children every two hours until they get picked up daily. LPA also witnessed staff changing children’s diapers during the inspections at pick up and nap times. LPA also observed staff encouraging children wearing pulls ups to use the restroom before they were picked up by parents. When LPA asked one of the parents about how often the child gets their diaper changed at the facility, one of the parents stated, “I think every 2 hours.” Another parent also explained their child is slightly potty trained and the Licensee will share about the child’s diapering experience some days. This parent also stated, “When I pick up between before 6:00 PM and her pull up is dry or a little wet only.” Most parent show no concerns about diapering at the facility.
Therefore, although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore they are unsubstantiated. There is no deficiency issued today. An exit interview was conducted, notice of site visit, and appeal rights were provided to Director Marcia Martinez. |
