Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Pa Dao Vang and Jeremey McClain met with Director Jennifer McCray for an unannounced Case Management Inspection regarding the LPAs' observation on the building and grounds. LPA observed several parts of the vinyl on the floor lifting and exposing the carpet underneath it. This floor is in the big room connecting the infant room into the hallway of the preschool and kitchen areas. In The infant classroom, LPAs observed the side of the exit door with a chipped paint, missing small part of the base board exposing chipped paint, and a taped based board. In the preschool classroom, LPAs observed a small exposed spot of the carpet. The carpet was not clean showing brown to gray stains. The step into the hallway of the preschool and kitchen is not in good repair. The first step was missing the vinyl exposing the wood underneath it. In the kitchen, the base boards were coming off the wall. In the play structure area, there is hard dirt exposed under are that should be cushioned by bark. There is not enough cushioning barks under the play structure. The wood frame around the bark area is also splitting.

Upon arrival, LPA observed 7 preschoolers, supervised by 1 staff.

This report was reviewed with the director. LPA provided a Notice of Site Visit, which must remain posted for 30 days.

LPAs oberved the following throughout the facility; several parts of the vinyl on the floor lifting & exposing the carpet underneath it, exit door with a chipped paint, missing small part of the base board exposing chipped paint, small exposed spot of the carpet, carpet was not clean showing brown to gray stains, the stair there was a missing the vinyl exposing the wood underneath it, and insufficent cushioning of barks undert the play structure. This poses potential risk of the health and safety to the children in care.
