25 | On March 05, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Piring and Payenda Seddiqi met with facility representatives, Caitlyn Strong for the purpose of an announced case management visit to return the facility from an inactive to active status.
LPA toured the facility and conducted a health and safety inspection in all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play areas. Facility Representative stated there were no poisons or firearms on the premises, and LPA did not observe any bodies of water. All toxic and hazardous items were inaccessible to children. Functional carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector and 2A10BC fire extinguisher were present. Furniture and equipment were in good condition and floors were clean throughout the facility. Playground equipment and surfaces were free of loose or sharp parts, and the areas underneath or around climbing equipment were sufficiently cushioned with bark. LPA advised facility representative to display the play structures age limitations. The outside play area was currently being landscaped, the facility is installing a bike run and an Awning to provided additional shade. Landscaping will be completed before the facility re-opens. Program provides AM snack and menus were posted in visible sight. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors.
Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
