Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Singh met with licensee, Sadie Hardin, for a case management inspection. The licensee has applied for a large family child care home license. The Department has sent the fire inspection request to local fire department on July 15, 2021.

During today’s inspection, LPA inspected the day care areas with licensee. There is no pool, spa or any other body of water in the house. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. Cabinets in kitchen and bathroom have child protective locks installed. Knives are stored in the high cabinets in the kitchen and are inaccessible for the children. Fireplace is barricaded with furniture. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There is carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house.



During inspection, LPA discussed the capacity and ratio regulations with licensee and provided a handout. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations of infants and copy of PIN 20-24-CCP was provided. No deficiencies were observed today.

Prior to issue license for large family child care, the Department must receive the clearance from local fire department. Per licensee, the inspection was conducted on July 21, 2021.

Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the licensee. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
