25 | On Tuesday, 10 December, 2024, at approximately 2:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fabian Schwartz met with Licensee, April Ordona, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed licensee’s spouse supervising 2 preschool children with licensee doing a school pick up. Licensee arrived shortly after beginning of inspection with 9 school aged children bringing census during inspection to 11. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. LPA observed proper ratio and capacity was being followed. Facility hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. LPA verified that the annual fees are current.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Facility is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom one-story home Off-limit areas include: All bedrooms, Laundry Room, and Garage. During inspection, licensee informed LPA they would like to Use Bedroom #1 as an on-limits space. NEW OFF LIMITS AREAS WILL BE: Master Bedroom, Bedroom #2, Laundry Room, and Garage. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons in the home. LPA observed that there is a fenced backyard with a pool and a covered hot tub. Hot tub cover is a hard top, locked cover which meets licensing guidelines. Pool is fenced with a fence at least 5 feet high with a gate which swings away from pool and meets licensing regulations.
