13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Bello met with Assistant, Emily Reading, to close a complaint investigation regarding the above allegations. No other adults or daycare children were present at time of inspection. LPA made observations, gathered documents pertaining to the investigation and conducted interviews. It was alleged that the facility used food deprivation and a form of punishment, infants are left outside in hot weather, children’s diapers are not changed on a regular basis, children are forced to sleep during naptime, children are not provided an adequate amount of food and the licensee yells at the daycare children. Parent, child and staff interviews did not corroborate the allegations.
Emily stated that they were not worried about the allegations because they know how they treat and take care of the children.
Based on LPA’s investigation although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
No Title 22 Deficiencies observed in the areas that were evaluated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee, Amy Velasquez.
