25 | On March 17, 2022 at approximately 12:50 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Josiah Gathing and Alize Tillery met with licensee Dunya Talabani for the purpose of an annual required inspection. The facility days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee reported six children are currently enrolled. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off limits areas consist of: Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, and Garage. During today’s inspection, licensee requested that Living Room 1 and Back Yard be placed off limits and requested the bathroom be placed on limits. LPAs observed a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Per licensee, there are no weapons on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items were inaccessible to children. Safe toys were observed in children’s play area. During the inspection, LPAs reminded licensee to keep all areas of the physical plant and all play equipment in safe, functioning order.
During children’s file review, LPAs located the required documents. Children’s roster and fire drill log were made available during the inspection. The last fire drill was conducted 12/30/2021. CPR and First Aid certification was posted near the entry with an expiration date of 3/7/2024. Mandated reporter training certificate was observed in the licensee files. LPAs observed required postings near the facility entrance.
