Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Seychelle De Luca and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mandie Goodwin met with licensee Michelle Lucas.

LPM De Luca defined the difference between a non-compliance conference and an informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today’s meeting is to help the facility staff gain compliance.

Today’s informal meeting is to discuss Type A citations issued from 08/31/2022 – 12/21/2022 for unqualified staff and children’s personal rights.

On 08/31/2022 facility was cited a Type A citation for having 3 children undress to be hosed off when dirty. Other children witnessed this event.

On 12/21/22 facility was cited a Type A citation for having unqualified staff providing care for the two's classroom without a qualified teacher present.

Facility Representative stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:

- Staff is trained by management. Staff shadows management and management shadows staff


- Classrooms will not be without a qualified teacher

LPA and LPM reviewed the qualifications requirements and children’s personal rights. LPM discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. LPM suggested that Licensee can view information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org. LPM also provided information on Technical Support Program and ways to sign up for it.

This report was reviewed with licensee during today's meeting. A copy of the report was provided to Licensee Michelle Lucas..
