On Thursday, January 19, 2023 at approximately 9:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mandie Goodwin met with director, Maya Patel, for the purpose of delivering findings for a complaint investigation. LPA observed 27 students being supervised by 6 teachers in three classrooms. It was alleged that a daycare child sustained unexplained injuries, that handwashing is not enforced, and that daily health inspections are not being conducted. Throughout the course of the investigation LPAs conducted interviews, reviewed documentation, and made observations. Interviews consistently revealed that children are observed for sickness and sent home if displaying signs of illness. Further observations and interviews conducted did not reveal any evidence to support the above allegations. Although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore, they are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted and a notice of site visit provided. Notice of site visit shall remain posted for 30 days.
