Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Amanda Blesi and Katrina Owens met with Director Silvia Anderson at the facility for the purpose of an announced case management inspection. LPAs are meeting after hours therefore there are no children present. Director Anderson is requesting to increase the capacity from 26 to 45 preschool children. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:45am – 5:00pm.

Director is adding classroom space to the preschool program which was previously used by infants. They will also have exclusive use of the gym for preschool children which is included in the square footage.

INDOOR SPACE
Indoor space, including the gym measures a total of 4913.203 square feet indoors, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 45 children. There are three toilets and three sinks for preschool children. There is also a changing table within in arm's reach of a sink for children that not potty trained.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Director is adding the play space previously used by infants to the preschool play space. There is a total of 9800.655 square feet which accommodates the request of 45 children.

There is one outdoor area on the property that will be used exclusively by preschool children in the front of the building. There is a picket fence separating the preschool yards from infant yards. The outdoor play area has chain link, wrought iron, and wooden fences that are at least four feet tall. LPAs observed a sufficient amount of equipment and toys. There are no bodies of water on the premises. There are shaded areas supplied by trees. The climbing structure in the second play space has a safety label that reads it is intended for children 3-12 years old. The second climbing structure does not have a safety labels; director acknowledges children must use age appropriate equipment.

LPA will approve the request to increase the capacity to 45 preschool children once the following items are received:
1. approved fire clearance for 45 preschool children
2. a total of 45 cubbies

A Notice of Site Visit was posted and an exit interview was conducted
