Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing and Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes met with Regional Director, Cindy Bunton Director, Brittany Ackerson for the purpose of an announced case management inspection. Licensee requests a room change for the school-age license. Licensee is not making any changed to the capacity. The program operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
AS and LPA observed three school-age classrooms. AS and LPA measured three school-age classrooms. The total classroom space contains a total of 1,610 square feet, which will accommodate the current licensed capacity of 46 school-age children. There are four toilets and four sinks for the children, and a separate private restroom for the staff. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
AS and LPA observed two outdoor activity spaces. Preschool and school-age children currently utilizing Yards 2 and 3. AS and LPA observed a Shared Outdoor Space waiver on file. AS and LPA measured two outdoor activity spaces. The outdoor play area contains a total of 12,552 square feet, which will accommodate the current licensed capacity of 46 school-age children. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Regional Director, Cindy Bunton and Director, Brittany Ackerson.

Effective today, 10/26/2022, AS and LPA will approve the room change.
