Staff withhold food from day care child as a form of discipline

On Tuesday October 08, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts Stephanie Piring met with Assitant Director, Tiffany Deans, for the purpose of delivering findings pertaining to the above allegation. LPA observed a census of 16 preschool age children being supervised by 3 staff and 12 toddler age children being supervised by 3 staff. During today's visit, LPA made observations and interviewed children.

It was alleged staff withhold food from day care child. Throught out the course of the investigation, LPA observed care, conducted interviews with staff, authorized representatives, and children, and reviewed relevent documentation. During Interviews with staff revealed that the child was provided another serving of food. Interviews with Authorized Representatives did not reveal concrens with childrens food being with held. Although the allegation(s) may have happened, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegation; therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative Tiffany Deans. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
