On Thursday, December 7, 2023, at approximately 11:30 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Director Brittany Ackerson, for the purpose of a complaint investigation and to deliver findings. It was alleged that facility staff commingle infant and preschool children together and staff are operating out of ratio. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted interviews, reviewed documents, and made observations. LPA found that ratio was observed and no commingling took place during inspection. File review revealed that the facility has been granted exceptions by Licensing to include certain children under the age of two years with the preschool children. Staff and Parent interviews did not reveal evidence of commingling or ratio violation. Although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted and a notice of site visit provided. Notice of site visit shall remain posted for 30 days.
