25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Gagandeep Singh met with licensee, Clare Janes, for an annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Licensee operates the day care from the room in the back yard, which also has bathroom in it for children use. Present, there are three children in care with licensee. All adults living or working in the home have criminal background check on file. Licensee is operating within the capacity of this date. Licensee provides day care from Monday to Thursday between 8:30AM to 12:30 PM.
LPA inspected the day care areas with the licensee. There is no pool, spa or any other body of water in the house. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored in the offlimit areas and are inaccessible for the children. The day care room is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There is carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the day care room. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the day care room. There is first aid supplies box available. LPA did not observe any hazard in the play yard.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed licensee has License and other required documents posted in the child care areas. Licensee has record of training of preventive health and CPR card valid until October 2024. Licensee is aware that the fire or emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and drills must be logged. Licensee has a log in place and per log, last drill was conducted on October 26, 2023. LPA also reviewed the present children's record. LPA reviewed the identification and emergency information form for every child for proper names and numbers filled. Licensee has record of immunization of each child in care. LPA observed the licensee has the completion certificate on file for Mandated reporter training.
