25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Ferrara met with Licensee Meiqing Li to conduct a Change of Capacity inspection. The Licensee is requesting an increase from eight to 14 children. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted by an assistant who stated there were 12 children in care. LPA counted and verified there were 12 children in the home, therefore the facility was over capacity.
Off-limit areas include: Garage, laundry room, downstairs bedroom, and entire upstairs. Licensee stated she would like to change the downstairs bedroom to be on limits and available for children's use for nap time. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter the off-limit areas. LPA observed a fire extinguisher and functioning smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed the required Licensing postings on the wall and a current CPR/1st aid certification, which expires September 2022. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises and Licensee stated there were no firearms in the home. LPA observed the home was clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair with appropriate toys for the children.
A Fire Safety Inspection Clearance has been received from the Folsom Fire Department and the home has been cleared for up to 14 children.
