25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the licensee, Latrece Bean, for a case management inspection. Licensee has applied for a capacity increase to convert the day care to Large Family Child Care home. Purpose of the inspection was explained.
During the inspection, LPA inspected the all day care areas with the licensee. Day care areas: Family Room, Kitchen, Dining area, Living room next to dining area, Hallway, Bathroom and Backyard. Off limit areas: All bedrooms, Laundry room and Garage. During the inspection LPA observed that licensee has all of the required documents posted and are visible for the public. Fireplace in the living room has metal screen installed. There is one pet dog in the house. Licensee has all chemicals and other hazardous items stored in the off limit areas and are inaccessible for the children. Cabinets in the kitchen has child protective locks installed. All unused electrical outlets have child protective covers installed. There are plenty of age appropriate toys available for the children. The licensee had fire inspection done and clearance granted by local fire department on June 30, 2021 and the Department has the documentation on file. LPA discussed the capacity and ratio regulations with licensee and a handout was provided. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations for infants and copy of PIN 20-24-CCP was provided. Licensee has valid CPR training certificate until May 2022. Licensee has completed the Mandated reporter training and training certificate is valid until August 2022.
During today’s inspection, LPA did not observe any violation of regulations. As of today, licensee is approved to provide care and supervision to 14 children and operate as Large Family Child Care home.
Copy of this report is reviewed and provided to the licensee. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days. |
