At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang met with Licensee, Lorena Garay, for the purpose of an unannounced case management - Licensee initiated inspection. Licensee has requested to remove the Nap/Quiet room and decrease the capacity from 30 to 25 preschool children. LPA observed a census of 7 napping children supervised by 1 staff in classroom #, and 4 children awake supervised by 1 staff located in the circle time space. LPA reviewed background clearance for all staff currently present during inspection.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The indoor classroom space was previously measured, and LPA used these measurements for the purpose of today’s inspection. The Licensee request to remove the Nap/Quiet room from the license. The new space measures 948.87 square feet and will accommodate the request of capacity of 25 children. There is a total of 2 restroom with a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:­
The outdoor space was previously measured and has not changed. There is an insufficient outdoor wavier on file.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. This report was reviewed with the facility representative, Lorena Garay, and an exit interview was conducted. A notice of site visit was provided and shall remain posted for a period of 30 days for parental review.

As of today, LPA is granting the request to decrease the capacity to 25 preschool children and remove the Nap/Quiet room.
