13 | On July 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Lea Habtom met with director Mornen Haymer, to close a complaint. Upon arrival, LPA observed 46 preschool children in classes 2s, preK and preschool being supervised by 5 staff. All staff present during today’s inspection have fingerprint clearances and associations
During the investigation, LPA Lea Habtom conducted interviews and observation regarding the allegation that a child's needs were not properly met. The reporting party expressed concern that a plate of food was not provided to the child during lunch while the other children were eating and the child struggled to put on their shoes without assistance. Staff interviews indicated that the child was asked to join the group and did so a few minutes into lunch. Staff also stated that they allow the child to attempt putting on their shoes independently before helping, and that lunch is not withheld if a child does not have shoes on. The child joined the table for lunch with no shoes on and the teacher put on the child’s shoes. LPA Habtom was unable to review video footage, as the video is live-streamed and not recorded. |
