On July 26th, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Pascual and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Roxana Saravia met with District Manager Teresa Addison and Center Director, Susan Perkins for a scheduled informal meeting.

Today's informal meeting was arranged by the Department to discuss a recent Type A citation for violation of absence of supervision, a child left unattended, and reporting requirement.

LPM defined the difference between Non-Compliance and an Informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the program gain compliance.

On May 25th 2022 the Department received a complaint regarding absence of supervision when a child was left unattended. Facility was also cited for reporting requirement.

The program took the following measures to correct the violations: Staff were retrained with a face to name procedure that was completed soon after the incident occurred. Ms. Addison also mentioned they require an in-person, 5-day training for new staff which includes supervision protocols. Management will conduct frequent announced and unannounced visits to the facility to ensure proper protocol is being followed.

During today's meeting, LPM suggested for management team to review the Department web site www.ccld.ca.gov for updated regulations and important information regarding licensing. LPM suggested that staff can view informational videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org.
