25 | On Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tanya Washington met with Licensee, Nasemeh Nazari, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival Licensee's son Alisena "Ali" Rezaei assisted with interpretation of the inspection from English to Farsi. There were no daycare children present during the inspection. Licensee confirmed that there are no new residents or employees since the last inspection. Licensee indicated that she is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Licensee understands that care can not be provided for more than 24 hours to the same child.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include: four bedrooms (See facility sketch), partially converted garage, bathroom on the right side of the home near the kitchen and shed. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons in the home. There is no fireplace in the home. The backyard is fenced and there are no bodies of water.
LPA was unable to review any facility records during the inspection. Licensee was advised that she must have access to all daycare records.
LPA verified that the annual fees are current. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
