25 | On February 29, 2024 at approximately 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with licensee Yuliwiana Prince for the purpose of a required three-year inspection. There were three daycare children present during today’s inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-Limits areas: All bedrooms, Backyard, Garage and Patio area. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Per licensee, there are no weapons or poisons in the home. LPA observed required posted documents.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and found them to be complete. LPA observed a completed Children’s Roster and fire drill log last updated December 5, 2023. Licensee’s CPR and First Aid certificate is valid through December 28, 2025.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
