13 | On July 2, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kyrsten Williams and Payenda Seddiqi met with director, Amber Munoz to deliver complaint findings for the above allegations. The purpose of today's inspection was explained. Present today was 26 children in care being supervised by 7 staff members. Throughout the investigation, LPA made observations, reviewed records and conducted interviews with staff, children, and parents.
It was alleged staff yell at children and staff hit child. During interviews with staff, it was learned staff use verbal redirection in soft and calming tones. Staff stated if they feel a child is not listening to them or the staff need space, they will ask each other for support. Staff did not reveal any concerns regarding staff – child interactions. Child and parent interviews did not disclose concerns regarding staff yelling at children or any staff hitting a child. Parents stated staff reflect kindness and patience with the children. During times of inspection, LPA observed staff using soft and calm voices when interacting with children. LPA did not observe any concerns regarding personal rights violations.
