25 | On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at approximately 8:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing, met with Licensee Nasima Hotak, to conduct a Case Management inspection for the purpose of increasing the maximum capacity from 8 to 14 children. During the inspection there were 0 children being supervised by Licensee. LPA conducted a health and safety inspection of all areas accessible to children. Off limit areas consist of: All bedrooms, family bathroom, and garage.
The Fire Safety Inspection Clearance was granted on 12/29/2022. CPR/First Aid certificate is current and expires: 12/03/2024. The posted License, Parent's Rights, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Fire Drill Log are all being maintained by the Licensee. Hazardous items were stored inaccessible to children. Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the home. Fire extinguisher (3A40BC), carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet regulation. A pull alarm was installed per fire department requirements. The Licensee understands that 100% supervision is required in any unfenced areas. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee understands that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed changes. During the inspection, LPA discussed ratio and capacity requirements.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
