On Monday December 4th, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mandie Goodwin and Katrina Owens met with Director Kaneesha Singh for the purpose of a case management for deficiencies.

Through interviews it was learned that an infant child under the age of 2 was placed in the preschool classroom. Additionally through observations and interview with director, 2 children from the toddler option were placed in other programs for the day. Deficiencies are cited on 809-D.

LPAs Goodwin and Owens informed Director that this report dated 12/4/2023, documents 1 Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is/are immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPAs informed representative to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 12/4/23, that documents any Type A citation(s) to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. Exit interview was conducted with Director Kaneesha Singh and Notice of Site Visit and appeal rights were provided.

Based on observations and interviews an infant child under the age 2 was enrolled in the preschool classroom. Additionally, infants in the toddler program were permitted into other programs for the day. This is considered an immediate health, safety, or person rights risk to children in care.
