On March 21st, 2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Mandie Goodwin and Mai Lor met with Director Josette Davis for a capacity increase on the preschool license and adding additional classrooms. Director requests a capacity increase from 40 to 70 preschoolers. The center is adding two additional classrooms in the portables to accommodate the additional number of children.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
LPAs used the previous measurements taken during the prelicensing inspection on 8/8/2022 for the existing classroom and measured the new portable rooms. Each portable classroom has 3 sinks and 1 toilet. The total for the facility is 5 toilets and 10 sinks. The portable indoor space measured at 1174.24 square feet, with the total for the facility indoor space equaling 2,633.658 square feet. This will accommodate the requested capacity of 70 kids.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:


Outdoor space was previously measured during the pre-licensing inspection on 8/8/2022 and therefore was not measured today. The previous measurement was 8,024.003 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 70 preschool children. Licensee has a waiver on file to share the playground and she acknowledges the children of different age groups may not use the space at the same time.

Facility is pending approval based on supplies and updated lease agreement

This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with Director, Josette Davis. A Notice of Site Visit was provided, and an exit interview was conducted.
