25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter and Application Specialist (AS) Mai Lor met with Director Jamie Tulba for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. Present during this inspection was Divisional Vice President of Operations, Brian Heath. Applicant requests a preschool license to serve 154 preschool children from age two to entry into first grade. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The fire clearance was granted on September 6, 2022.
Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Effects of Lead Exposure, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. LPA and AS provided and discussed LIC311A and the forms that must be in each child's and each staff member's file. The facility will provide morning and afternoon snack.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are eight preschool classrooms: 2 y/o 1, 2 y/o 2, 2 y/o 3, Preschool 1, Preschool 2, Preschool 3, KPrep 1, and KPrep 2. LPA observed a sufficient number of tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping cots for 154 preschool children. LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate toys and equipment. There is a first aid kit above the sink in each of the classrooms. Medications will be stored in the office in a locked box or in backpacks in the classroom, on a hook out of reach of children. Director stated that cleaning disinfectants will be stored out of reach of children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Director stated that the facility will use paper cups and personal water bottles for water in the classroom. LPA and AS observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in three classrooms. Director stated the facility will use tablets for an electronic sign-in/sign-out system in each classroom.
