25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alize Tillery met with applicants - License Rep Blithe Raines and Director Bianca Miraflores for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing, change of component inspection. Applicants placed Art Beast Studio SA (#343623645) on an inactive status. Applicant requests a preschool license to serve 30 preschool children from ages 2 to 6 years old. During today’s visit no children were present. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The fire clearance was granted on 09/27/2022.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Effects of Lead Exposure, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule.
Applicant stated the facility will provide two snacks and children will bring their own meals.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are six classrooms: Dramatic Play Classroom, Art Studio Floor, Loft Room, Upstairs Classroom #1, Upstairs Classroom #2 and Library. LPA observed sufficient amount of age-appropriate equipment, toys, tables, chairs, and cubbies. There is a kitchen to support the food service equipped with a refrigerator, dish washer and washer and dryer. There is a first aid kit kept at the front desk. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants appropriately stored in the staff restroom. Applicant stated medications will be stored at the front desk. Applicant stated there are no firearms on the premises. Applicant stated there will be pitchers and children’s personal cups available in the classroom. LPA observed carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detector and a fire extinguisher in the facility. LPA observed the facility’s sign in and sign out system, located at the front desk.
