25 | On October 26, 2022 at approximately 9:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing and Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes met with Director Brittany Ackerson for the purpose of an announced prelicensing inspection. Applicant requests an infant license to serve eight children from age zero to two years. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, car seat law, Effects of Lead Exposure brochure, menus, and daily schedule. LPA discussed the forms that must be in each child's and each staff member's file. The facility will provide breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks. Parents will provide formula and infant food.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There is one infant classroom. LPA and AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, and tables. There were no cribs in the napping area at the time of today’s inspection. There are first aid kit supplies, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and trash cans with lids. Applicant stated medications will be stored in the office. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. There is a functional carbon monoxide detector in the large preschool classroom. LPA observed daily sign in and sign out binders.
AS measured the infant classroom. The total classroom space contains a total of 291 square feet, which accommodates Applicant's request for 8 infants. There are 2 sinks for the infants and a changing table within arm’s length of a sink. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
