Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the site supervisor,Claire Hung, for a pre licensing inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. This facility will be operating at the school site in the Portable # 2. Previously, this classroom was licensed for school age children, but the facility has requested this classroom to be licensed for preschool age children. Fire inspection was conducted on May 03, 2023 and approval was granted.

During today's inspection, LPA measured the classroom and if was found that the classroom has 668.243 square feet area, which is sufficient for 19 children. LPA observed the facility has two toilets and two sinks for the children. The staff will be using the restroom on school site, but not in the preschool classroom. There are cubbies for children to use for storage. LPA observed the classroom has one fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector. LPA measured the play yards assigned for the preschool age children and found it has total of 971.398 square feet of area, which is sufficient for 13 children. The play yard is surrounded by a fence that is at least four feet tall. There is no play structure in the play yard. There is a tree, which will be used for shaded area. Director stated that the facility staff will be brining the drinking water along with them, as the children use the play yard.

Licensee was encouraged to visit the Department website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. A copy of this report will remain on file for a period of three years for public review upon request.

The following items are required before a license will be issued:

1. Revised fire clearance.


2. Updated application LIC 200A with the new capacity.
3. New Site supervisor assignment packet.
4. Pending Licensing Program Manager’s final review
