25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Singh met with licensee, Sumayah Haidary, for an annual random inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Licensee lives in two story home. During inspection, there are no day care children present, but licensee's own children were present. All adults living or working in the home have criminal background check on file.
LPA inspected the day care areas with the licensee. Day Care Areas: Living room, Dining area, Kitchen, Bathroom next to kitchen and Backyard. Off limit areas: Entire second floor and Garage. There is no pool, spa or any other body of water in the house. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. There is no fireplace in the day care areas. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There is carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed licensee has License and other required documents posted in the child care areas. Licensee has record of training of preventive health and CPR card valid until October 06, 2024. LPA remind the licensee to conduct the fire or emergency drills at least once every six months and drills must be logged. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
