25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with licensee, Sumayah Haidary, for an annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present, there are six children in care with licensee and one helper. Licensee is operating within the capacity of this date. Based on record review, it was found that the present helper does not have criminal background clearance on file. During inspection, LPA provided the live scan form to the licensee and licensee agreed to have the helper obtain the criminal background clearance. Per licensee, the helper has been living in the home from approximately four months.
LPA inspected the day care areas. Day Care Areas: On ground floor - Living room, Dining area and Bathroom next to Kitchen. Off limit areas: Entire second floor, Kitchen and Backyard. There is no pool, spa or any other body of water in the house. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. Cabinets in bathroom have child protective locks installed. LPA observed a gate on the stairs, but the gate is not secured. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed licensee has License and other required documents posted in the child care areas. LPA reminded licensee that the fire or emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and drills must be logged. Licensee has a log in place and per log, last drill was conducted of March 15, 2024. During inspection, children records were not available.
