25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the licensee, Malalai Nooristani, and her son for a case management inspection. The licensee has applied for capacity increase. The fire inspection was conducted by the local fire department on August 14, 2023.
During today's inspection, LPA inspected the facility. Licensee's son translated the information for the licensee. During inspection, LPA did not observe any hazard in the home. Per licensee, there has been no changes in the home since last inspection. LPA explained the requirements and regulations for large license. A handout was provided. LPA explained the licensee that the license will be granted once the Department receive the approval documentation from local fire department. The licensee's plan to operate the day care is between 5AM to 9 PM.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA also informed Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed and provided to the licensee. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
