13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx met with Facility Representative, Jessica Goodrich, for the purpose of delivering findings to a complaint investigation alleging that staff did not keep the facility clean or sanitary, staff do not meet hygiene needs, and staff do not ensure children's water bottles are clean and sanitary. The purpose of today's inspection was explained.Throughout the investigation, LPA Velasco made observations, reviewed records, and conducted interviews.
LPA observed the facility, toys/materials, and surfaces appeared to be clean. LPA observed facility to have cleaning supplies available and daily cleaning procedures in place. LPA observed staff sanitizing mouthed toys throughout the day as needed. LPA observed staff being attentive to children in care and cleaning children’s faces when necessary, before/after meals, and following transitions. LPA observed water bottles are left accessible for children and staff cleaning water bottles as needed if germs are shared. Water bottles are parent provided. Interviews with staff had aligning statements regarding how the facility minimizes germs and maintains cleanliness, which is consistent with LPA observations. Interviews with authorized representatives did not reveal concerns regarding cleanliness or hygiene.
