It was alleged that daycare children were inappropriately disciplined by being placed on timeout for an excessive amount of time. Parent, staff and children’s interviews did not corroborate the allegation. Observations did not corroborate the allegation. Charunika stated that the children are not placed in their “Thinking Spot” for long and that children do not have sense of time making even 30 seconds feel long. Based on LPA’s investigation although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
