25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with applicant, Mursal Shamal, and spouse, Edrees Shamal, for a scheduled pre-licensing inspection at the facility. Applicant lives in two story single family home. Applicant has provided the evidence of ownership of the house. Child care will be provided in areas: On ground floor - Hallway on right side of the entrance, Room in hallway, Living room, Bathroom in hallway and Backyard. Off limit areas: Entire second floor, Kitchen and Garage. Applicant understands that all off limits areas must remain inaccessible to children. Applicant was notified that prior to use of any off limits area, the department must be notified. Child care will be provided from Monday to Friday between 8AM to 2 PM.
LPA Singh inspected the entire home with the applicant for health and safety hazards. The house has proper temperature and ventilation. All the toxic or dangerous materials are stored in off limit areas. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water on property. Per applicant, there are not firearm or weapon in the house. There are no pets in the house. The house has a working telephone, smoke detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector. Applicant has multiple child protective gates to keep the off limit areas inaccessible for children. There is a variety of age appropriate toys available. All unused electrical outlets have child protective covers installed.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records to Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children's forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. Applicant has record of valid CPR training until July 21, 2025 and Mandated reporter training certificate valid until October 10, 2025. Applicant understands that fire/earthquake drills are to be conducted every 6 months and recorded. Applicant understands that baby walkers, bouncers, and excersaucers are not allowed.
