25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with licensee, Lula Ghebretinsae, for an annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Licensee lives in a single story home. During inspection, no day care child was present. All adults living or working in the home have criminal background check on file.
LPA inspected the day care areas. Day Care Areas: Living room, Dining area, Kitchen, Hallway, Bathroom in hallway, Room on left side of the entrance and Backyard. Off limit areas: Master bedroom and Garage. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. Cabinets in kitchen and bathroom have child protective locks installed. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There is carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house. LPAs observed licensee has cribs available for the infants. All of the unused outlets have child protective covers installed. There is inground pool in the back yard with department approved fence and has self latching gate. LPA reviewed the AB2688 updates with the licensee and provided printed copy of AB2866.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed licensee has License and other required documents posted in the child care areas. Licensee has record of training of preventive health and CPR card valid until November 2025 and Mandated reporter training certificate valid until November 2025. Licensee is aware that both of these trainings must be renewed every two years. Licensee is aware that the fire or emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and drills must be logged. Licensee has a log in place. Licensee has an updated children roster on file.
