25 | Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Mai Lor met with the Licensee Representative Lisa Lytle for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. The applicant is requesting to serve 246 students; 40 infants ages 0-24 months and 206 preschool children ages two years to entry into kindergarten during the hours of Monday through Friday from 7:15am - 5:15pm (infants), and 7:00am-5:30pm (preschool component). The facility will provide morning and afternoon snacks; lunches will be brought from home, however, the facility does offer parents/guardians to purchase a lunch if they choose. LPAs reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are 13 classrooms inside the facility. Rooms 1,2,3,4,5,6,11,12, and 13 will be used for the preschool and rooms 7,8,9,and 10 will be used for the infant component. LPA observed that there are appropriate preschool supplies currently displayed in the classroom. There is a first aid kit located in each classroom above the sink area and is not accessible to children in care. Medications will also be stored atop of the cabinet. The Licensee Representative stated that medications are stored in medication boxes above the sink and any refrigerated medications will be located in the front office room. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children in the cabinet above the sink.
The Applicant stated there are no poisons, bodies of water, or firearms on the premises. LPA Manabat discussed the importance of storing any poisons in a locked area with either a combination or a key lock.
