25 | On 8/06/2023 at approximately 7:45am, Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat met with Licensee Representative Lisa Lytle for the purpose of an unannounced change of capacity case management inspection. The Licensee requests a total of 40 infants ages 0-24 months and 196 preschool children ages two years to entry into kindergarten during the hours of Monday through Friday from 7:15am - 5:15pm (infants), and 7:00am - 5:30pm (preschool component).
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
During today's visit, LPA Manabat observed classrooms 1, 4, 11, 12, and 13. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, nap mats, and cubbies. CAB LPA measured the indoor space and found that the preschool rooms now measured for a total of 17,476.60 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 196 preschoolers.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are three outdoor areas on the property, two for the preschool component and one for the infant component. Each outdoor play area is fenced with a chain linked fence that is at least four feet tall. Measurements were taken for the outdoor space footage. The outdoor play areas for the preschool contain a combined total of 15,038 square feet, which will accommodate the applicant's request for 196 preschool children. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
Licensee Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
