25 | Licensing Program Analysts Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Gagandeep Singh (LPA) met with Applicant Narine Vardanyan for a follow up pre-licensing inspection for pool fencing corrections. Adult relative was present for interpretation at time of inspection. The required correction specified in the follow up LIC809 dated 05/29/24 were:
- pool fencing is at least 5 feet high and no window access from the kitchen and bathroom 1 and sliding door access from Bedroom 1, but bottom of the fence is over 2" from soft surface.
- pool fence connecting to the exterior fencing on the left side facing the pool exceeded 4"
- Posting requirements.
- Licensing Program Manager's final file review
LPA observed all corrections have been met, the fencing completely surrounds the pool with no window and door that provides direct access to the pool, fence is constructed so that it does not obscure the pool from view, 2 gates swing away from the pool, self-close and are self-latching. Self-latching device is located no more than six inches from the top of the gate. Fence is designed and installed so children are unable to remove any portion of it. Fence is not easily climbable by children. Opening between railings does not exceed 4 inches. Bottom of fence is no more than 4” from the ground on hard surface, horizontal railings are at least 45 inches apart. Fencing is thick enough that it cannot easily be broken, removed, or stretched by children.
As of 06/10/24, LPA observed that all requirements have been met, pending Licensing Program Manager's final file review, this small family childcare home will be licensed.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Applicant, Narine Vardanyan. |
