On 5/6/2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Pa Dao Vang and Amanda Sutter met with Licensee Jessica Dawson-Brown for the purpose of an unannounced complaint inspection regarding the above allegations, which is that the facility staff did not report outbreaks to authorized representatives of day care children, that staff did not meet a child’s diapering needs, that staff did not ensure a child ate food while in care, and that staff did not provide adequate supervision which resulted in minor injuries to multiple day care children. Upon arrival, LPAs observed 18 preschoolers, 16 toddlers, and 8 infants present in four classrooms supervised by 10 staff members.

On 3/5/2026 and today, LPA Vang conducted inspections, made observations, gathered documentation, and conducted interviews. LPAs observed children interacting with staff indoors during nap time and meal service. LPA Vang also received the LIC624 Unusual Incident/Injury Reports on 3/4/2026 and 3/5/2026 regarding illness.

Based on the staff, parents, and children’s interviews, there are no concerns regarding the above allegations. In all the areas inspected during the investigation, LPA observed no violations. LPA did not learn of any violations from the interviews.

Therefore, although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore it is unsubstantiated. There is no deficiency issued today. An exit interview was conducted, a notice of site visit, and appeal rights were provided to Licensee Jessica Dawson-Brown. Notice of site visit will be posted for 30 consecutive days.
