25 | On Thursday, August 15 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Mandie Goodwin and Amanda Sutter met with Applicant Ramzia Abdul Aziz for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. During today’s visit applicants minor child over 10 years old was also present in the home. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. A health and safety inspection of the home was conducted on 8/13/24. The purpose of today’s inspection is to observe the pool area and confirm that it is fenced according to regulation.
LPA observed a pool fenced with a self-latching gate that swings away from the pool. A portion of the pool fencing was created taller to accommodate for a sloping ground and raised garden bed underneath. The applicant created height by adding wire lattice fencing to the top of the fence. LPA observed the latticed fencing to be constructed in a way that visual of the pool area is not obstructed. Windows accessing the pool area on the far side of the house are over 5 feet high. Applicant stated they plan on having the fence permanently raised in the future. LPA advised applicant to call licensing before modifications are made.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the applicant Ramzia Abdul Aziz.
As of today 8/15/24, facility is approved for a Small Family Child Care Home license for a capacity of 6 children with no more than 3 infants, or 4 infants only, or up to 8 children with no more than 2 infants, 1 child in Transitional Kindergarten or above and 1 child at least age 6. Infants are children under the age of 2.
